The battle-tested Knicks had no choice but to vie for the second seed.

Whether you've been present at the arena or tracking the action from afar, the Knicks' approach to their regular-season finale against Chicago on Sunday afternoon was crystal clear. There was no hint of strategic maneuvering for specific matchups in the Eastern Conference playoff landscape. This team, guided by their coach and propelled by their MVP candidate, viewed the Bulls' red jerseys as merely another obstacle to overcome in their quest for victory. While it may sound cliché, it's undeniably true that this sentiment encapsulates the essence of New York's 50-win season, culminating in an overtime triumph over the Bulls and clinching the No. 2 seed in the upcoming playoffs. Despite enduring numerous absences due to injuries from key starters throughout the season, the Knicks have epitomized a "next-man-up" mentality. Mustafa Ali will be donning gear inspired by Captain America for WWE NXT Great American Bash

Rey Mysterio's trend of dressing as comic book characters for WrestleMania sparked a wave of comic-themed attire throughout the WWE Universe. From Johnny Gargano to Rhea Ripley and The New Day, superheroes and villains have left their mark on the wrestling world.

In an interview with WWE Deutschland, Mustafa Ali revealed that he will be channeling the Marvel character Captain America for his attire at "NXT" Great American Bash. His intention is to rile up fans who may doubt his American identity.

"I'm bringing the freshest drip to the show," Ali confidently stated.

Since becoming a free agent after this year's WWE Draft, Ali has been causing trouble in "NXT," targeting former North American Champion Wes Lee and others. At the upcoming event in Cedar Park, Texas, Ali will compete against North American Champion "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio and Lee in a Triple Threat Match. Despite his time in WWE, Ali has yet to hold a championship.

While Ali is not expected to be a permanent fixture in "NXT," he is using his time in the brand to reinvent his character, with WWE officials hoping to boost fan interest in the Tuesday night wrestling program. Fellow free agent Baron Corbin will also be at The Great American Bash, making his in-ring debut against Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson.
