After leading the Reds to another Wembley final on Wednesday night, the 56-year-old will oversee the team's remaining fixtures of the 2023-24 season before concluding his illustrious eight-and-a-half-year managerial tenure at Anfield. Klopp's time at the club has seen Liverpool secure six major trophies under his guidance.

Assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, along with elite development coach Vitor Matos, will also leave their positions at the end of the season, with Lijnders eager to pursue a career in management.

In a statement to Liverpoolfc.com, Klopp explained the reasons for his decision and the timing of the announcement, emphasizing the need for clarity to facilitate an orderly transition. He expressed deep affection for the club, the city, supporters, team, and staff but acknowledged that he is running out of energy.
