Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves played pivotal roles in propelling the LeBron James-less Los Angeles Lakers to a remarkable fourth-quarter comeback and a thrilling 128-124 double-overtime victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday.

Despite facing a daunting 19-point deficit with eight minutes remaining in regulation, Davis and Reaves spearheaded the Lakers' resurgence, orchestrating a stirring rally to level the score and ultimately secure the win in the second overtime period at the Fiserv Forum in Wisconsin.

Davis logged an impressive 52 minutes of play—marking the most playing time by a Lakers player since Kobe Bryant in 2012, according to ESPN—during which he amassed 34 points, 23 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals. Despite showing signs of fatigue as the game wore on, the 31-year-old managed to summon the energy for two crucial late-game blocks against Bucks star Damian Lillard to help keep the Lakers in contention.

In the absence of LeBron James, who was sidelined due to ankle soreness, Reaves showcased his prowess on the court.

He delivered a remarkable triple-double performance, amassing 29 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and committing just a single turnover throughout the game. Notably, Reaves' most impactful contributions came as the game progressed.

During the final two quarters of regulation, the 25-year-old guard demonstrated his clutch ability by scoring 15 crucial points. As the intensity heightened in the two overtime periods, Reaves remained composed, adding another nine points to his tally. His standout moment arrived with less than 40 seconds left in the game when he sank a pivotal go-ahead three-pointer, propelling the Lakers into the lead for good.

Reaves' all-around excellence and timely plays were instrumental in the Lakers' impressive victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, showcasing his ability to step up and make significant contributions in critical moments.

Reaves expressed to reporters after the game, as reported by ESPN, that moments like these are what he dreamed of as a child—competing on the road with his teammates against a formidable opponent and having the chance to make crucial shots.

D’Angelo Russell also made a significant impact in the latter stages of the game, overcoming a challenging first half to conclude with 29 points, seven rebounds, and 12 assists.

Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo led the charge for the Bucks, posting impressive statistics with 29 points, 21 rebounds, 11 assists, and three blocks, despite their defeat.

Tuesday's triumph marked the Lakers' fourth consecutive win as they continue to vie for a playoff berth.

Currently positioned ninth in the Western Conference with a record of 40-32, the Lakers find themselves in the lower half of the Play-In bracket. However, they are now just two games behind the Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns, who currently occupy the seventh and eighth spots, respectively. Climbing into the top half of the Play-In standings would provide the Lakers with two opportunities to secure a spot in the NBA Playoffs, as opposed to the single chance they currently possess.

Presently trailing the Dallas Mavericks by three games, who occupy the final automatic playoff spot, the Lakers' next matchup is against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night, while the Bucks aim to bounce back on the road against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday.
