The Clippers suffer a setback as they lose Kawhi Leonard, witnessing the Timberwolves stage a comeback to secure the victory.

On March 13th, Anthony Edwards led the way with 37 points, supported by Nickeil Alexander-Walker's 28 points, as the Minnesota Timberwolves secured a 118-100 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on the road. The Timberwolves, facing a two-game losing streak, staged a comeback in the game where the Clippers lost Kawhi Leonard after just one quarter of play.

Contributing to the Timberwolves' success, Mike Conley scored 23 points, Rudy Gobert grabbed 11 rebounds, and Kyle Anderson added 10 points. This win marked a positive turn for the Timberwolves, now holding a 2-2 record since Karl-Anthony Towns sustained a knee injury. Towns underwent surgery earlier on Tuesday and is scheduled for re-evaluation in four weeks.

Paul George showcased his scoring prowess with 22 points, complemented by James Harden's 12 points for the Clippers, who faced consecutive defeats against the Milwaukee Bucks and Timberwolves.

In addition to George and Harden's contributions, Norman Powell added 11 points, and Ivica Zubac made a notable impact with 10 points and an impressive eight rebounds for the Los Angeles team. Unfortunately, the Clippers had to grapple with the absence of Kawhi Leonard, who left the game after only one quarter due to back spasms. Despite encountering this setback, Leonard demonstrated his commitment by playing the entire first period, managing to accumulate six points as the Clippers initially took control with a 34-21 lead. The challenges posed by Leonard's early departure further underscored the team's resilience and determination in the face of adversity.

Los Angeles extended its lead to a maximum of 22 points during the second quarter. However, the absence of Leonard's defensive influence allowed the Timberwolves to stage a formidable 20-2 run just before halftime, narrowing the gap to four points. At the break, Minnesota trailed 63-55.

The third quarter witnessed a continuation of Minnesota's resurgence, as they initiated a 10-0 run early in the period, overtaking the lead at 69-68. The Timberwolves further solidified their momentum by concluding the third quarter with a 15-4 run, establishing an 84-78 lead heading into the final quarter.

With 9:42 remaining, a running jumper from Conley boosted Minnesota's lead to 93-83, shortly before Gobert exited the game while nursing his left rib cage, ultimately not making a return.

As the fourth quarter unfolded, Conley continued to be a driving force, hitting a 3-pointer at the 6:16 mark to extend the Timberwolves' advantage to 104-90. His layup with 4:37 left in the game further solidified Minnesota's lead at 111-94.

In an impressive performance, Conley scored 12 points in the fourth quarter, showcasing his prowess by going 5 of 8 from 3-point range throughout the game. Additionally, Walker demonstrated remarkable accuracy, going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc as part of a stellar 9-for-10 overall shooting performance.
